AAR Receives Top Honors and Special Recognition from the FAA
WOOD DALE, Ill., /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AAR CORP. (NYSE: AIR) announced today that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has recognized the Company for outstanding achievements in the training and development of its aviation maintenance technicians at AAR's 15 FAA-certified repair stations.
In an award ceremony held at AAR's Aircraft Services facility in Indianapolis, Dave Cann, Manager, Aircraft Maintenance Division, Flight Standards Service (AFS-300), FAA, and Dr. Bill Johnson, Chief Scientific and Technical Advisor for Maintenance Human Factors, presented AAR's President and Chief Executive Officer David P. Storch with a special award recognizing the Company's achievements under the FAA's Aviation Maintenance Technician Awards Program.
All 15 of the Company's FAA-certified repair stations received Diamond Certificate of Excellence Awards and special recognition for 100 percent of eligible aviation maintenance technicians meeting or exceeding the FAA's requirements for technical and regulatory training. To acknowledge this outstanding achievement, the FAA visited AAR to present David Storch with a prestigious corporate-level award.
